That&#039;s a huge hang up for most people. 

Most think that they&#039;ll &quot;wait until they can afford it&quot; and then never feel like they can, and therefore never go. 

One thing that you do need to do is find a way to pay for reoccuring bills such as your mortgage (if you have one.)

But you could rent out your place for awhile, or even sell it?

Anyhow, thanks for the post, you&#039;re making me itchy to go on a long vacation :)

Really cool story, I&#039;m gonna go to asmterdam with a good friend of mine for 3 months in December and we&#039;re going to have out own little adventure, travel through Europe, maybe after that south america or Asia :)

There is so much to see and experience, its great, gotta love life:)

		<description>I would have liked to have done this when I got out of high school.  Maybe I could do this in the future, but at this point, it&#039;s not what I want out of life.  I wish I could just cut free for a year though.  That sounds like a ton of fun.  These are great tips though, and I&#039;m sure the packing light tip is highly essential.  I&#039;ve heard that you should only pack the &quot;bare essentials&quot; and then get rid of half of it.  lol.</description>
