Hi there - thanks so much for blogging my Salt Air Hair illustration. It's always nice to give credit to the artist though. Thank you! Also, the Wild Air piece belongs to Mae Chevrette if you'd like to credit her as well.

What lovely words Jess, Poppy was a georgous man and I miss him as well. It is so sad to think he is not on the planet any more, but I can't forget what a kind man he was. From where I sit he still lives in you an Ben, having been part of forming the adults you have grown into. It's good to cry for our loss and your beautiful expression of his death made me cry too. We won't "get over" his.
death but over time we will feel it in a less painful manner and think of him warmly
So long Wally and thank you for all the time spent over the years-always a pleasure to be in your company - Jacqui

I can't imagine the hurt you and your family must be going through and I know there aren't any words that anyone can really say to make things feel better. I'm sending you a big hug right now, and you're right - it's the memories and legacy of a person that's left in the hearts of those left. That's why the next generation is going to be so lucky, because in sixty years, we'll have a lifetime's worth of digital photos and blog entries and videos people will be able to keep forever as well as the memories. Your poppy sounds like an amazing person, to have left such an imprint on even just one heart. Thinking of you <3
